MEET OUR FOUNDER

In a bustling city brimming with newcomers, Keosha Thomas stands out as a unique native Nashvillian. As the proud Founder and CEO of Tallgirlsmatter, she champions the often-overlooked tall female demographic, specifically women and girls who are 5'9" and taller. Launched in 2017, Tallgirlsmatter focuses on raising awareness through merchandise, empowerment initiatives, and media content.

Fueled by her passion for increasing representation of tall women across all ages, sizes body types, and races, she established the support group "Tall Girls Matter." This online community has become a sensation, uniting women globally in their to embrace their height and foster a supportive network.

A self-described 'Jill of All Trades,' Ms. Thomas combines her marketing expertise with over a decade of public relations experience. Her meticulous attention to detail, paired with a visionary approach, has enabled her to form lasting connections with legends in the entertainment industry, including iconic figures like Prince and Snoop, as well as Grammy-winning producers and celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kevin Hart, and Kelly Rowland, along with emerging talent on the rise.

Tallgirlsmatter was founded in November 2017 when Keosha attended a Dove Awards event. That evening, while conversing with a group of tall women about their experiences growing up tall—including shopping for clothes and shoes, facing bullying, and navigating dating—she conceived the idea for Tallgirlsmatter.

In 2018, she hosted her first Tallgirlsmatter meetup during the LA All Star weekend at a Porsche event, where she connected with tall beauties and celebrities. During this trip, she also designed her initial line of Tallgirlsmatter t-shirts.

Since then, she has expanded and rebranded Tallgirlsmatter with a new line called the TGM Collection, which now features a vibrant #TGM community of various tall brands, models, and creatives.

Throughout the pandemic, she launched TGM Talk, where she showcases brands, companies, and hosts on Tall Tuesdays via Tallgirlsmatter's IG LIVE.

In spring 2021, Keosha received the "We See You Sis" award from Gratitude for Black Girls for her contributions to the tall community and was recognized as a Woman Worth Watching.

Organizations/Clubs: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., NABJ member, Youth About Business mentor/volunteer.

Hobbies: spending time with family, attending concerts, traveling, swimming, and participating in sports.
